Leucophyllum frutescens ‘Silverado’

texas sage silverado

Virtually maintenance-free and drought tolerant, this medium-sized shrub is an excellent selection for hedges or foundation plants.  The heat-tolerant cenizo, as it is also called, does well in zones 8 and above. It adds a lovely touch to the garden in the summer when it blooms its purple flowers. The purple blooms and grey leaves contrast nicely to create an exciting show in the garden.
