Native to the lush, humid rainforests of Eastern Asia and Australia, Hoya Black is one of the most dramatic and rare members of the Hoya family. Its thick, glossy leaves are so deep green they appear almost black — a rich, moody color that makes it stand out from every other houseplant in the room. Like all Hoyas, it stores moisture in its waxy leaves, making it surprisingly tough and easy to care for. With the right conditions, it produces clusters of small, fragrant, star-shaped flowers that are as beautiful as they are unexpected.

Never remove the woody stems after flowering as the plant reblooms from the same spots each season. Mist leaves occasionally or place near a humidifier for best growth and blooming.
