Ilex crenata 'Sky Pencil'

sky pencil holly

Also known as: Sky Pencil Japanese Holly, Boxleaf Holly

Sky Pencil Holly is a distinctive evergreen shrub known for its narrow, upright growth and glossy dark green foliage. Native to Japan, Korea, China, and eastern Russia, its naturally columnar shape adds height and structure without taking up much space. This upright holly shrub is a great choice for entryways, borders, foundation plantings, privacy accents, and narrow garden spaces. Small white flowers may appear in spring, followed by dark berries on female plants when properly pollinated, adding subtle seasonal interest to its year round green color.
