Cupressus sempervirens

italian cypress

Italian cypress is a perfect plant to usefor lining a driveway or for planting along a fence.  Tall and statuesque, these plants give a Mediterranean feel to any garden design.  These fast growers can get up to 70 feet tall. Given the height of the plant, plant them away from power lines or other obstructions. Italian cypress is an evergreen preserving its deep green color throughout the year.   The svelt look of the Italian cypress can be paired with ball or cone forms of the eugenia to create a formal garden in southern climes.
