Native to the tropical forests of Africa, Dracaena gets its name from the ancient Greek word for "female dragon" — a nod to the deep red resin found inside its stems that ancient cultures once used as medicine and dye. Cintho is one of the most striking varieties in the family, with thick upright stems topped with full, lush rosettes of deep green leaves that fill any room with a bold, tropical presence. A known air purifier, it looks great and quietly cleans the air at the same time.

Remove any yellowing leaves at the base to keep the plant looking full and fresh year-round. Note that this plant is toxic to pets if ingested.
