Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Pablo'

spathipyllum sweet pablo

Also known as: Peace Lily, Sweet Pablo Peace Lily

Native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia and Venezuela, Sweet Pablo is the larger, fuller cousin of the Sweet Chico — bringing the same easy-going charm and elegant white blooms in a more impressive, statement-making size. Its broad, glossy green leaves fan out in a full, lush mound topped with graceful white spathes that appear multiple times throughout the year. A symbol of peace, purity, and calm in many cultures, it's one of those rare plants that looks stunning and means something too.

plant tips

  • water

Keep soil consistently moist but never soggy — water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Like all peace lilies, Sweet Pablo will droop slightly when thirsty — water it and it bounces right back.

  • light

Thrives in bright to medium indirect light. Tolerates lower light well but blooms most frequently with more brightness — always keep away from direct sun which can scorch the leaves.

  • zone

    Houseplant.

  • size

Grows about 2–3 ft. tall and wide — full, lush, and perfectly sized for any floor or large tabletop space.

care

Place in a warm, humid spot with bright indirect light and keep away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry and wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to keep them looking their best. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during spring and summer. Remove spent flowers and any yellowing leaves at the base to encourage fresh new blooms and keep the plant looking full year-round.
