care

Plant junipers in gardens or large areas that need coverage. Junipers like well-drained soil and do poorly if they have wet feet.  Plant junipers in the early spring.  Fertilize with a light fertilizer in the spring and later on in the fall.  Pruning is not necessary unless the plant gets out of hand.  Although these plants prefer full sun, they can also tolerate some partial shade.
