Staghorn Fern is a striking tropical fern known for its sculptural, antler-like fronds and unique epiphytic growth habit. Native to tropical regions of Java, New Guinea, and Australia, this epiphytic fern naturally grows attached to trees and rocks instead of in the ground. It produces two distinct types of fronds — flat shield fronds that help anchor the plant and dramatic forked fronds that give it its signature staghorn shape. Staghorn Fern grows best in bright indirect light, warm temperatures, and good humidity, making it a beautiful choice for mounted displays, hanging baskets, patios, and bright indoor spaces.

Best displayed mounted on a wooden board with sphagnum moss, or in a hanging basket — this plant thrives when its roots can breathe freely. Mist or soak regularly and feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength during spring and summer. Never remove the brown base fronds as they protect the root system and help the plant absorb water. Do not wipe or rub the fuzzy white coating on the fronds — it's a natural protective layer the plant needs.
