Alocasia Silver Dragon is a compact tropical houseplant loved for its thick, heart-shaped leaves with a silvery-green finish and deep green veins that resemble dragon scales. Native to Borneo, this unique Alocasia stays smaller than many Elephant Ear varieties, making it perfect for tabletops, plant shelves, desks, and bright indoor spaces. It grows best in bright indirect light, warm temperatures, and moderate to high humidity, where its textured silver foliage can really shine.

Place in a warm, humid spot with bright indirect light and keep away from cold drafts. Use a well-draining, airy potting mix — orchid bark or perlite added to potting soil works great. Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength and skip in winter. Mist leaves regularly or place near a humidifier to maintain the high humidity this plant loves. During winter it may go semi-dormant and drop some leaves — this is completely normal and new growth will return in spring.
